in search of spring

If you do not have snow shoes the next best thing to have to enjoy the sun on a winter day is a snowmobile. Ohhhh the sound and smell of a 2 stroke engine burning oil is heavenly and brings back so many fond memories of sunny winter days. Since I've become a snowbird it has been a few years since I've been able to enjoy a good sled ride. Luckily for me almost every family member has at least one sled so I can always borrow one. I was surprised to find out that these days the new sleds aren't 2-stroke anymore and they don't smell anymore....they purrr like cars now, and no smell....where's the fun in that. But there are still a few old ones kicking around....I got lucky.

My ride for the day

lunch on a stick

Soaking up the sun...Alberta style, it was 4C, we thought it was hot.

clearly spring is not here yet
As you can see by the weather forecast I will not be working for some time. I feel I was tricked into coming home....so, I am once again on the road. Remember that Harley in Phoenix, I am on my way to revisit it. It seems while on it I caught a "biking bug" who knew? ..... and it's warmer there. I will return in about 10 days or so....I will be checking the weather up north regularly this time. You can fool me once but not twice. I choose not to go back to Mexico just because going there for 10 days and then having to leave again would be too hard. Saying good bye to my family there was very hard and I do not want to do that again.

Oh my - you certainly went from A-Z in terms of weather! Well, most likely in terms of everything...

I don't blame you for not wanting to return to Mexico and have to say goodbye again.

Then maybe because I want to return and never say goodbye. :)
